Brands that Nailed it with their Roasting Efforts!
In recent months, we noticed a rising trend of roasting and puns (many of which went viral) online. Digital marketing can get really boring when consumers are engaged with the same approaches over and over again. One word, SAVAGE!
US teen, Carter Wilkerson, even broke Twitter’s retweets record (dethroning previous record holder, Ellen DeGeneres) when he campaigned for retweets to receive a year’s worth of nuggets supply on the condition that his tweet has to be retweeted more than 18 million times.
Despite not reaching his goal of 18 million retweets, Carter still received his nuggets supply from Wendy’s and received his Guinness World Record title for the most retweeted tweet!
