In this week’s #FreeContentIdeas, I’ll talk about a brand segment that is extremely saturated – Portable Bluetooth Speakers! Walk into any electronics stores and you find yourself spoilt for choices, so how does brands in this segment cut through the clutter? Here’re a couple of ideas we think might just work!

1. Feature a Dance Crew and Sponsor them with Bluetooth Speakers

When it comes to sponsorships and features, dance crews would be the most obvious choice as they practice a lot outdoors and they need portable Bluetooth speakers to provide the music

So how about doing a Weekly Facebook LIVE series where the brand features a dance crew with Bluetooth speakers providing the music! If executed well, a campaign like this would bring about a significant amount of buzz and best of all it doesn’t break the bank!

2. A Flash Mob powered by a portable Bluetooth speaker!

Flash mobs might be an old trend, but there are no rules that state you can’t re-look into past trends! Flash mobs usually include great music, which can be powered up by a pair of Bluetooth speakers!

3. Mimic the iPod “Silhouette” Ads in real life

If you’ve seen the iconic iPod Silhouette ads, you would know how infectious they could be; now try to do this in your office setting.

1. Get a couple of fun-loving colleagues who love to dance (or get your friends if your colleagues are really boring people)
2. Instead of plugging it to the iPod, carry the portable Bluetooth speaker
3. Play a groovy hit and start dancing!
4. Record it down on video!

Now, besides being able to relief some work stress, you’ve created a potential viral hit and possibly started a new trend, never know unless you’ve tried!
